As winter classes come to a close today, event organizers for Provo's nonprofit Hollywood House are hoping to take advantage of students' eagerness to celebrate by hosting a party tonight from 9 p.m. to midnight, with all proceeds going toward the United Way.

The Hollywood House "Camo Party" - attendees are encouraged to wear camouflage - will feature dancing with music by DJ Kendall, a mechanical bull, an inflatable slide, discounted ice cream from Provo's Sub Zero and door prizes throughout the night.

"It's going to be a great time - it's the last night of class, and it's a great way to unwind," said junior Brandon Roman, assistant director at the Hollywood House. "There are so many people here in Provo that are in need of support, and doing this is a way to give back to the community."

The Hollywood House was established two years ago as a local nonprofit, and since then has hosted many popular events to raise money for local charities.

"The direct benefit here is to have fun and give back," said senior John Romney, who is helping with the event. "I think the Hollywood House always throws the best parties - they have a reputation for a reason."

Roman said they hope to put that reputation to good use and raise $15,000 in proceeds tonight, which Community Action Services of Provo will use to help low-income families pay for home heating.

Tickets are $3 with BYU student ID and $5 without. The Hollywood House is located on the corner of University Avenue and 800 North.
